Need Help?

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the cancellation policy?

Change of plans? Not to worry: if you cancel at least 24 hours in advance, we will happily offer you a full refund. Please note that for groups of six or more, cancellations must be at least a week in advance.

  • Do I need to know how to ride a bike?

While riding an e-bike is easier than a standard bike, we still require that you know how to ride a bike.

  • Do I need to wear a helmet?

Yes, you are required to wear a helmet when you ride our eBikes. A helmet is included in your rental fee or you can bring your own helmet.

  • Do I have to pedal? Will the e-bike run out of battery without my help?

While a RadCity Step-Thru can take a 150 lb rider 30 miles with battery to spare, it’s not uncommon for people who don’t pedal at all to enjoy the ride so much that they go further than planned. If so, you can either pedal back or call us for an in-ride battery swap.  We bill these swaps at $120 per hour drive time plus $100 for the battery, so we recommend planning appropriately.

There are a lot of variables (i.e. bike, the rider, the terrain, etc.), so be sure to call us for advice! We’re happy to make your ride as easy (or as difficult) as you’d like.

  • Do I need to bring a lock?

No. We provide each e-bike with an ABUS Bordo Granit XPlus 6500 folding lock.

  • Are there any age restrictions on the electric bikes?

Our minimum age for solo riders on the electric bike is 16.

All riders under the age of 18 must have a waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian and be accompanied by an adult.

  • Are there any weight restrictions?

The maximum weight for the RadRunner is 300 lbs, RadRover and RadCity bikes is 275 lbs. The RadWagon has a total weight limit of 350 lbs, with a maximum of 120 lbs on the back. If you’re riding with kids, please note that the toddler seat is for children up to 40.0 lbs.  The Hurley Layback Standard is 265 lbs.

  • Do you offer refunds?

If you cancel at least 24 hours in advance, we will happily offer you a full refund. Please note that for groups of six or more, cancellations must be at least a week in advance.

  • Do I need to sign a waiver?

Yes, every rider and passenger is required to sign their own waiver.  Anyone under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian sign for them.

  • What happens in the case of bad weather?

We check the weather forecast the night before to make sure that it will be safe to ride. If rain (light or heavy rain) is predicted, we will cancel your rental and offer you a full refund.
